Concept
ghosted is a fictional streaming series centered on a college student who moves into a new home, only to discover that it’s haunted by a romantic presence from another realm.
This project required the creation of a logo, storyboard, and promotional assets while adhering to an established streaming platform’s branding system. The challenge was to develop a visual identity that balanced supernatural tension with romantic undertones, maintaining clarity, and platform adaptability.
Core themes:
Supernatural duality
Romantic tension
Symbolic typography
Digital adaptability
Sketch
My initial logo explorations tested a range of conceptual directions. I experimented with abstracted letterforms, themes of possession, and symbolic references tied to spirituality. I also explored contemporary interpretations of “ghosting,” incorporating visual cues inspired by digital communication.
Typography experimentation focused on how letterforms could interact to suggest tension or connection, while still feeling modern to audiences. Through iteration, I refined the concept toward a solution that felt conceptually layered yet visually streamlined.
Design
The final logo incorporates a subtle religious reference by transforming the “t” into a cross, nodding to themes of life and the afterlife, while rounded letterforms maintain a contemporary, approachable tone. The balance between symbolic detail and minimal typography ensures the mark remains adaptable.
To extend the identity beyond the logo, I directed and photographed original imagery, edited promotional visuals, and developed a storyboard to capture the tone and pacing of the series. These assets were then applied within an established streaming platform’s branding system, demonstrating consistency across desktop and mobile interfaces.
The overall identity captures:
Cinematic
Contemporary
Cohesive
Platform-ready
