Concept
autumn & eve is a subscription service dedicated to supporting small-batch cider makers around the world. The brand centers on discovery, delivering globally crafted, artisanal ciders directly to consumers’ doors.
The challenge was to create a visual identity that felt warm and inviting while also reflecting global exploration and craftsmanship. The branding needed to appeal to curious, design-conscious consumers who value authenticity and small-business support.
Core themes:
Seasonal warmth
Natural ingredients
Global discovery
Artisanal quality
Sketch
After developing ten initial brand directions, I narrowed the exploration to three distinct concepts that best captured the brand’s spirit.
Each direction emphasized a different aspect of the identity: heritage, nature, and symbolism. Ultimately, I selected the snake outline mark for its subtle nod to “Eve” and themes of origin and discovery. I then incorporated the leaf concept’s color palette to maintain a fresh, organic tone.
This combination allowed the brand to feel both symbolic and grounded in nature.
Design
With the final concept selected, the visual system was developed to balance elegance with rustic warmth.
Typography choices reflect a refined yet approachable tone, while earthy colors and textured elements reinforce the artisanal quality of the product. Packaging and supporting brand materials were designed to feel tactile and intentional, echoing the care of small-batch cider production.
The overall identity captures:
Warmth
Craftsmanship
Curiosity
Global exploration
Refine
During refinement, I simplified ornamental elements to improve clarity and scalability. Removing unnecessary details strengthened the mark and ensured it remained impactful across packaging and digital applications.
Background elements were reimagined using layered shapes to introduce depth without overwhelming the composition. These adjustments elevated the brand from expressive to polished, resulting in a visual identity that feels sophisticated, intentional, and cohesive.
